PCa-Status test, biomolecular differentiation of prostate cancer
Description DiaPat® PCa-Status
Please also read our recommendations/instructions at the end of this page.
The DiaPat® PCa-Status test is a non-invasive test in urine for the differentiation of clinically significant from indolent prostate cancer with high diagnostic sensitivity (90%). The test is specifically adapted for its use to closely monitor prostate cancer during active surveillance for changes in the tumor status on the biomolecular level.
The DiaPat® PCa-Status test analyses the abundance of 19 PCa-specific peptides in urine with high precision using a very sensitive technology (capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS) technology). From each urine sample, a unique urine profile is created. This urine profile is used by the PCa-Status test to specifically detect tumor-related molecular changes that are associated with the progression to a clinically significant stage requiring immediate therapeutic intervention. The DiaPat® PCa-Status test has the particular advantage that it uses a non-invasive analytical test principle and therefore provides the opportunity for patients to check their tumor status regularly and painlessly.
Instructions for use
For the DiaPat® test, the midstream of second morning urine is collected in a urine cup. The urine is then transferred to the enclosed urine monovette (sample syringe) *. The urine monovette is placed in protective packaging* for transport. Transport to the laboratory will be carried out per overnight express.
*These materials will be provided as part of the DiaPat® sample collection kit
The DiaPat® test includes the following services:
The DiaPat® package includes the sample set for collecting the urine sample and all the necessary documents. The shipment will be operated by a courier by home pickup or via the doctor's office.
The analysis will be conducted in our central laboratory using the CE-MS technology.
Medical history questionnaire form
A detailed medical history questionnaire is part of the sampling kit. Please fill it out carefully and completely. The information is the basis for a reliable evaluation of the DiaPat® test result.
Send the result letter to your family doctor
The result of the protein analysis, which we send to your doctor, is explained in detail and gives recommendations for further diagnostic steps.
